About
Ayşe Küçükyılmaz received her BS degree in Computer Engineering from Bilkent University in 2004. She obtained her MS degree in 2007 from the same department. Between 2005 and 2007, she was a member of the 3DTV EU Project, where she worked on 3D graphical object representations. Following her graduation, she worked as a junior engineer and completed projects on video processing, analysis, and motion tracking for security applications. In 2008, she started to pursue a PhD degree in the Computational Sciences and Engineering Department at Koç University under the supervision of Dr. Cagatay Basdogan and Dr. Metin Sezgin. She has been a member of the Robotics and Mechatronics Laboratory (RML) and the Intelligent User Interfaces Laboratory (IUI) since then. Her current research interests include natural human-computer interaction in virtual domains, haptic user interfaces, haptic collaboration and negotiation processes, affective computing, and machine learning applications in adaptive and immersive multimodal user interfaces.
